One of the great things about Paperspace is that you can modify your machine's specs based on your needs.
After an upgrade, the disk image (your hard drive with all your files, programs, and settings) will remain unchanged. An upgrade only modifies the amount of RAM, CPU, GPU and Disk allocated to your machine.
To make changes to your machine, select your machine in the Console to go to the Machine Details page. Click the Upgrade button.
From there you can:
- Change your machine from hourly to monthly, and vice versa.
- Upgrade the machine's Type (for Air, Standard, Advanced and Pro machines only) to add more CPU, RAM and GPU
- Upgrade your disk space
Limitations: Increasing storage will expand your filesystem and is not reversible You can only upgrade a machine within your Machine Type and OS. For example, you cannot upgrade from a P5000 to a P6000 and keep your disk image or if you have a P5000 Windows machine, you cannot change it to a Linux machine. You will have to build a new machine.
Note: Modifying your machine will affect your billing cycle. for example, if you upgrade your storage in the middle of the month, your invoice will reflect your new storage rate but you will be charged a prorated amount for the new storage.
